we were looking for live music and the old anchor had a good call to support live music. unfortunately we visited a quiet evening when there was no gig. but very happy for us the renter had the room for a couple. poorly talented natives offered for rehearsal. we had a great evening, many thanks for them. this pub is located in a stunning opposite, worth a quiet atmosphere to find it. As a riverside pub in the picturesque town of Abingdon, we were quite disappointed to find that they weren't serving food on a Saturday they only do roasts on Sundays.
