"Went for breakfast on Tuesday 17th May, had the small breakfast, it was delicious the bacon was really thick and very tasty as were the sausages. The egg was lovely and runny. The granary bread was very fresh. All in all a very pleasant experience, will definitely be going back before the end of our holiday."

"Meal with friends and also two birthdays to celebrate. Excellent atmosphere with attentive and friendly staff. Could have eaten anything on the menu and thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Probably best to book as can be busy and allow a little extra time to find parking. Highly recommend . Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"But we did not really good option for a vegan roast (with gravy the meal came and saw delicious BUT.. with flower cheese? we were suspicious and checked and it wasn't vegan so scratched it from the plate. if we had only flowers, it would have been staring as the meal was good, apart from that, with much heavy. we were not asked to vegan or vege, but I said vegan roast at order. Vegan cheese could be used for both or not at all, it would be easier for the kitchen, just the same meal for both. the drinks did not arrive before eating and it was unclear when a waitress was ordered and asked if we would like to order drinks while waiting for our drinks. she was very polite and immediately came with drinks. Thank you for trying to appreciate it."

"Stayed here on their Sunday Sleepover deal. The food was fantastic, room spotlessly clean and very comfortable and the service was first class. A short stay did not allow us to enjoy all the great facilities of the hotel. Would definitely consider staying here again for a short break at any time of the year"

"Visit here now and again. Nice little cafe/coffee shop restaurant with outside area and veranda for diner's when weather permits. Overlooking blue Anchor Bay with the steam railway behind, it is a lovely place to visit, esp in warmer months. They serve everything from sandwiches to kids burgers to fish and chips."

"40 years ago when my folx used to bring us to Minehead whilst visiting Grandma and Grandad the only food we were interested in was fish and chips. Now a little wiser and a lot older I brought my Dad and his sister to Toucan to see what it offers vegans. My Dad isn't veggie but he knows a good meal when he has one and his veggie Homity pie was a great success. My partner and I put the staff through the awkward squad test and asked what was vegan, as well as nightshade and sugar free and still available 10 mins before the kitchen was due to close (beware earlier winter closing! . We had the soup, a serious portion with similar sized chunky bread and bean burgers with side salad. Washed down with a Roibois tea, a choc banana shake and finishing with an almond and apricot sugar free cake. All were great. The burger was moist, the Mayo tasty, the salad fresh and with dressing but not too much, the shake sweet and rich but not sickly, the cake was splendid. Dad reckoned the almond cake he had was the most almondy almond cake he's ever tasted! I assumed that was a good thing! The bill for four meals and drinks was about £40 and we were very happy with that. The staff were helpful, and polite, the cafe is bright and colourful with a nice old school veggie cafe feel. There were lots of vegan options that had sold out but hey we were kind of late! The cafe is up stairs so wheel chair users might have to miss out on this great little place. The cafe sits above a health food shop which looked well stocked . Minehead is certainly on the Vegan Updated from previous review on Wednesday February 03, 2016"

"We came to the Cafebar 21 intentionally to watch the lionesses play the World cup quarter final. We ended up staying for breakfast and a couple of beers. We had scrambled eggs and an English breakfasts. Good food and good portion sizes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth coming back too."
