What Mary Mallozziberg doesn't like about Anchor Inn:
It was cleaner than our previous hotel in Anchorage, however the check in girl was not super friendly to us or her staff. Also when we went to shower the water was hot until we got in within 1 minute and it was ice cold tried again in the morning and same thing happened.Rooms: 3/5 read more.

"Service and flavors need improvement. Definitely the nicest place to stay in Whittier. Good views, nice atmosphere, and very clean. The restaurant, however, leaves much to be desired. While the beer and wine list was good, the food and service were disappointing. I had dinner with my boyfriend here, and our waiter did not do a good job at all of telling us about the specials... in fact it seemed like he just made up the info rather than taking the time to really know what the specials were. The menu has ambition, but the flavors did not mesh well- kind of like the chef was trying so hard to impress with the presentation that he didn't stop to think about the taste. There are better places to eat in Whittier, but this is a nice place to stay or to stop in for a drink."
