Delicious food, especially all fried chicken dishes. Corn bread and hush puppies are pretty average though.

Soooo good...wow thank you for having us we know you wanted to close so worth the trip up from Tauranga...we will be back again!!!

We were blown away by the corn bread and the pork ribs! The ribs have such an amazing flavour and they are very tender! Lovely stuff!! Thanks Cajun!!

"I was here shortly before Christmas in 2018 and still remember. it was dark, I just got the last ferry from waiheke, and I was hungry after a whole day of mountain biking an island without food except a banana. I followed my nose here and I am so glad that I did it. Excellent fishing and chips, excellent beer, friendly and helpful staff (I was not in auckland since 2012 and the dings were changed, I was a bit out of the way) when I returned, I will eat here again."

Portion is very generous, super tasty (no artificial taste like some of the other places in the CBD and great value for money. "Dinner at Renkon is always satisfying, large portions and low prices. The Karage Salmon (9.5/10, $12.50) was beautifully cooked, soft and tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. They were super accommodating and swapped the rice for more salad at no extra cost. The Karage chicken (9/10, $12.50) came with lots of chicken and was tender and juicy. Definitely a place I will come often."
