"We first selected food first in the vendor machine, handed the ticket to the counter staff in exchanging a number plate. Then looked for our seats and waited for the call. After the eating, we returned the tray to the counter. Vert reasonable priced set. The deep fried aji fish (4 pieces) is tasty."

"Can provide English service and menu. The Hakone local beer was a must-try. Compare to the deep fried pork cutlet set, the signature tofu set was more unique and tasty."

"Lovely hostel in Hakone not far from Gora station. We only stayed one night but really enjoyed our stay here. We used one of the onsen which was really nice after a busy day seeing the sights of Hakone. We also tried their pizza which was pretty good too. We stayed in a traditional tatami mat double room which was a nice experience with very comfortable futons and lovely views. Be warned, the walls are paper thin (literally) so it sounded like we were sharing a room with a very loud snorer! But we were so shattered we soon fell asleep, but bring earplugs if this might bother you. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We would like to come back and stay longer next time as it seemed a very sociable place to relax in the evenings and also to try the other onsen!"

"I am a solo English speaking traveller. So happy I went here. They have some great local beers and delicious food. I had the hakone local beer, the salmon and the 2 sausages. All of which I can recommend. The staff were friendly and helpful and let me charge my phone which was in dire need of juice. Just go."

"Plenty has been praised about the food in this soba restaurant founded in 1934. Vegetarian friendly. English menu available. Pro tip: queue much shorter in later afternoon. I waited only for 20mins before being seated."
