"Myself and my 3 children went along for the daytime Halloween party my children had a fantastic time very child friendly pub, the land lady and her partner are very friendly. I later went down for the adult Halloween party they put a brilliant DJ on people of all ages up dancing and again very well run night, no tolerance for aggressive behaviour and that made me feel very comfortable! HIGHLY RECOMMEND"

"I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Arundel castle and gardens. Its such a great place to visit. I loved the smell of the rose while walking around the castle and gardens. I would highly recommend going inside the castle, it is impressive with so much history. However I have to warn you there are lots of stairs to climb once inside the castle. Some stairs are very steep..Inside the castle there's a restaurant, I didn't have time to go to the restaurant so I can't comment on the food. I wanted to see as much as I could before the end of my visit. I will definitely return and spend more time in the gardens"

"Staff are really attentive and welcoming. Got greeted by the lovely waitress who was very friendly. She was super helpful and took our orders nice and quick. Drinks came out nice and fast and the food followed behind shortly after, didn’t have to wait long at all which was amazing. Got the lunch deal which is great value and tasted amazing and the chef was very helpful too. Highly recommend :"

"Dropped in with my wife for lunch as it will be closest pub to properties we are looking at to buy in Angmering. We were met by two very polite young ladies and shown to a table for two. All good so far. My wife ordered the Sussex Smokey and I decided on the Fish Fillet 1/4lb burger with fries. At no time were we informed that there would be a wait of over an hour for the food to arrive. After 20 minutes or so it became clear there was a large party in another area that were clearly priority customers. Anyhow we were not in a rush so patiently waited for the food to arrive. When the food eventually arrived it was well presented and looked appetising. after around a minute of the food arriving the young lady who served us asked if all was OK? To be honest I said yes but at that point I had only consumed a few of the fries and my wife was happy with her Sussex Smokey. It was only a few minutes later when I started to consume the Fish burger that I realised the fish was very undercooked. The centre was cold and impossible to bite through. I left it to the side of the plate and finished off the fries, which were very good. I was hoping the waitress would ask again how things were but unfortunately she was so busy dealing with other customers not her fault. I didn't want to kick up a fuss as the waitresses were clearly not to blame and were so very busy. I waited until my wife had finished her meal and the waitress came to clear away the plates before I spoke quietly to her explaining it was inedible and why. It was left on the plate clearly showing it was almost raw. She was very apologetic and said how sorry she was. She then asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu. We replied no thank you and can we have the bill. I'm sorry to say that when the bill arrived there was no discount for my mostly inedible meal. I'm guessing my complaint didn't make it to the management and through inexperienced staff it is assumed just a sorry will do. In hindsight we should have been more forceful in asking for a discount but the young ladies were so busy we didn't want to upset them. The fault clearly lies with the management who should be training their staff on how to deal with these kind of complaints. On a positive note my wife really enjoyed the Sussex Smokey!"
