"This was my second visit to the restaurant and both times have been excellent. I am coeliac so have to eat gluten-free. I must admit that there wasn't a huge amount of choice for gluten-free (although I am aware there are possible supply issues at...the moment), but the restaurant staff were very knowledgeable about cross-contamination issues, so I felt very safe eating here. I had fish and chips both times, and both times it was excellent. Dogs are welcome (we took our dogs the first time) and service was excellent. By far the better of the two local establishments."

"Popped in for lunch while driving further north, this is obviously a popular place and luckily we just before the rush! A warm welcome and a table quickly found and order taken. This is a very nice restaurant, just a few minutes' walk from the main car park. It has a great menu, nothing too complicated, but local and appealing. We were both very pleased with our choice for main, and stayed for a coffee and a shared cake (as the portions are quite generous). There are local paintings, prints, cards and book on sale too. Service was excellent, and all very reasonably priced. Highly recommended."

"My wife and I ate at Saddlers last night and we were blown away with the quality of the food and the service that we received. In other restaurants when I've asked for the pie I usually received a bowl of casserole with a pastry lid stuck on the top, but this wasn't the case at Saddlers, my pie was a PROPER home made pie, which was cram packed with chicken that just melted in my mouth. My wife had the Corn Fed Chicken Breast and she reckoned it was was the best main course that she has ever had in a restaurant for quite some time. I finished my meal off with their home made Sticky Toffee Pudding with Ice Cream and my wife had the baked Cheesecake. Well done to the management and staff for looking after us, we can't wait to back agin in the future."

"If they like to eat meat, which is not what it seems to be on many species and rude service, then go to this restaurant. my chicken court was actually truthful that they totally disproved and we are pretty insane about it. how many chickens have they ever eaten that have a granular texture outside and when pressed with a fork was so hard and in long, thin, dry stretches that are so characteristic for truthahn? it also had this distinctive dirty taste that has dry truthahn. so it was truthahn!
