i had a set menu of sweet potato cake set with strong coffee Long black . The cake was delicious and service is very friendly and attentive. The cake was smooth and not to sweet. The coffee was mid level strong, flavour was pretty Smooth and not acidic. The seating space was small but cozy. I highly recommend this coffee place for relaxing. read more.

We ordered a cafe au lait (latte) $650 yen per cup and it was extremely hot (70 degrees). Usually you don’t serve latte this hot and you can tell from the photo that they can’t froth milk in order to make a proper latte. And of course they burnt the coffee. "I thought I would pay 2,000 yen, but it was so delicious that I wanted to eat more, so I added it! It's not a sophisticated restaurant like today, but it was a place where I could eat and drink very calmly. The location is right next to the station and the owner of the store is also friendly. I will come back to Otaru just to visit this store"

"The Otaru Beer brewery house is a great spot to end your day exploring the town. We went here on a rainy autumn day at around 4.30/5pm and it was really easy to find a table, but when we left around 6pm there was a line so it does get busy here. For us it was the perfect spot to warm up, drink some great German style beers and have some dinner. The beers were really good! We tried all 3 of the standard, main beers they offer (pilsner, dark and wheat beers) and all were equally good. The food was good too, although portion sizes are on the smaller side I would say so maybe stick to the proper mains if you're hungry. There is even a little gift shop to buy some Otaru beer themed gifts if you like. All in all would recommend coming here if you're visiting Otaru."
