"Love staff ,love food , shouldn't have got the halepinos though lol But got a £5 rice box with Chilli con carne and Wow massive and lovely Only gripe wish there was a bit more sauce with chilli con carne but a minor thing They probably had it but just never asked for it I'd give it 10* if I could , can't recommend it enough I'd walked past loads of times and decided to go in glad I did Only think they don't take cards but do bank transfer/PayPal cash. "We had a wonderful time to visit willowgate bistro to the birthday of my friend. we had arrived a little late, but after a quick phone call the team was more than happy to accommodate us a little later than booked. I was thrilled to see that she bought a beautiful birthday balloon and positioned it next to our quiet table in the corner of the restaurant. what a nice touch! the food was fabulous we had duck and steak followed by lemon cheesecake and chocolate tar, all cooked and beautifully presented. the wee and the cocktails were excellent and the staff could not have done for us anymore. we had a fabulous meal in the willowgate bistro and have already booked to return this weekend as the last meal of our holiday. very recommended, thanks to many!"

"Food Food for when your drunk, thats all this is. The food was bland and dull but was overall okay. The chilli was as flavourful as water and full of mince with little to no beans or other ingredients. All in all the food here isnt great but its what you expect from pub food and isnt going to be top notch. Service The service was okay and the food came quickly. Complaints There was a few flys around as well as the overall place being a little unclean."

"Just called in for Nachos as had them before as great, not disappointed. However ordered a half of Diet Coke and my wife had water, when settling bill I was charged £3.40 for the half of coke I queried this and was told by bar person I always ask if you want a half or pint as pint is only 50p more,I said you did not add the snippet of pint only 50p more. I feel they are just out to rob you by charging so much for a half and not advising small increase for the pint. Bar person had permanent smirk on face when pointing this out, we will never return despite good nachos and would recommend you all to ask for drinks menu before ordering."
