"Can't fault the food. Probably the most consistent Chinese place I have been to in Victoria.I have only gotten take-out but visit quite regularly as live close byI would actually give it 4.5 for food. We have tried the cheaper dinner for ones and had some fancier dishes too...All round it's a quality Chinese takeaway!!One gripe is the grumpy staff!! Honestly, I just find it funny now but come on guys give us a smile!!"

"Never been here before but I got an recommendation from a coworker 2 years ago. We stopped by without further notice on our way back home from the ferry. Within 15 min we got an awesome soup made from the scratch (my wife doesnt eat any dairy products), beef with ginger and onions, chicken rice noodles and some spring rolls. I love to cook myself so i am pretty sceptical when it comes to eating out but all this food was great , the cook did a fantastic job, you could taste that there was dedication involved .Both thumbs up !"

"Wandered around Victoria looking for real food. Found Hong Kong West on alternative site as a place for "real" Sichuan "provincial" eats. An unimposing facade and dining area disguised the treats we had - spring rolls, spicy chicken, and eggplant dishes. Had them all "medium spicy," - delicious stuff. Beware full spice! Medium was plenty for us used to S and SE Asian flavorings of Kerala and Khota Baru. Would be helpful to quiz owners about Chinese items not on English menu."

"Recently, their food had chosen for the first time because they have a gluten-free menu. We ordered the GF House Special Chow Fun, GF Crispy Ginger Beef, GF Sweet Sour Pork, GF Imperial Prawn with Hot Chili Wine Sauce. It was very good. The gluten-free ginger beef tasted as regularly crispy ginger beef! It was soooo good. The Chow fun was the unexpected surprise. I really miss Chow mine and Chow fun was their gluten-free noodle option. I don't know what they put in the sauce they use, but it was some of the best Chinese I ever had. I would definitely recommend this place. Many gluten-free products, and was specially packaged to reduce the chance of cross-contamination."
