"This restaurant provides a nice ambiance and the food is good. I only gave 4 out 5 stars as the price of the food is not reflective of what you get. It's great food but there are other local restaurants serving similar fare for better prices that are just as good."

"It was a mediocre experience. The food looked like art but the flavours in each dish did not work for me.For the appetizers, the bread was fresh and the salted butter was nice. The Brussel sprouts though instead of being roasted tasted charred.For entrées, the duck breast was the star of the show being tender and so flavourful. It was the best thing I ate during my whole dining experience.The pork tortellini while looking gorgeous was a let down because it was too salty.For dessert, the caramel tart was too sweet and was just not pleasant at all...Lastly, the seating for two at the front is too small and the chairs are not comfortable.My expectations were high walking in but the experience did not match up."

"Stopped for an ice cream.. expensive...5 dollars for one. We had maple hibiscus and carrot cake. It was a disappointment .. they both tasted like vanilla ice cream."

"HANDS DOWN BEST BURGER I EVER TASTED. My second visit to this place, had the steak sub the first time and today I had their cheeseburger for lunch. I have to say the steak sub was really good but I was blown away by the burger. It was amazing that I could honestly say the best burger I ever had and I eat a lot of burgers. This place is a must try."

"I have been going to John's for over a year now. The service is great and the breakfast is very good. They're speedy on serving you. The staff is always polite and courteous. I have never been for lunch yet but my experience for breakfast is awesome.! The price are great too. The breakfast includes coffee on certain menu item. I live in the east end and we drive all the way down there with a friend to go to John's! Kid friendly too!"

"Went here and had a Porchetta sandwich. It was a decent price $(6 plus tax.) but it does not come with any side. The sandwich itself was tasty, it was a panini with some pickled onion and the porchetta. The meat was decent - although not as good as the Porchetta you get in Vancouver (Meat and Bread.) However, it was pretty satisfying, and I would return here."
