"We had afternoon tea and everything was delicious, lovely sandwiches, warm scones and tasty cakes. The cakes were proper sliced cakes and not the silly little taster cakes you can sometimes get. A lovely warm welcome from all the staff and we were given a box to take home what we couldn't eat. The best high tea we have ever had. We will definitely be going back again."

"When I'm in Rye and up for breakfast or lunch The Fig is my first go to place: small, nice vibe, good coffee, dog friendly and always vegan options (I sometimes was too late for vegan cake, though). At the moment (January 2018) their small menu contains 4 vegan dishes: spicy meican beans on toast wth guacamole and mixed leaf. Squash, red pepper and spinach dahl with coconut yoghurt and flatbread. (my favourite) Falafel wrap with spicy harissa, slaw and rocket. Slow roasted tomatoes on toast with marmite, basil oil, pea shoots and toasted seeds."

"We visited Lime Wharf in June 2023 and on a number of separate occasions. The garden always has a great atmosphere with music, the bar and a delicious selection of food to choose from. The boat/kayak/paddle board hire is always a great activity for the family and friends. If the weather is nice, I would recommend going earlier or later in the day, as parking is limited. Also, make sure to book in advance, as they are often in high demand!"
